OPTION 2: Katalyst Field Trip and Confessions Mastermind
Days 1 & 2 - $1,500 CAD
This is your day to step out of the weeds and into the role of CEO—alongside peers who actually get what it means to run a consulting business in the nonprofit sector.
You’ll join an intimate group of eleven other experienced consultants (all earning $100K+ in annual revenue) for a distraction-free, focused day (9:30am–3:30pm) designed to help you tackle your biggest business challenges. Using our proven mastermind methodology, you’ll walk away with real solutions—not just sympathetic nods.
This isn’t your average business event. It’s curated, confidential, and deeply relevant to the work you do.
You won’t need to explain why “just raise your rates” or “follow up more aggressively” doesn’t quite cut it in this sector. Everyone in the room has:
Built a six-figure consulting business serving nonprofits
Balanced strategic advising with hands-on support
Set pricing in a space where “no budget” is a common refrain
Designed boundaries and systems that work in a mission-driven context
We’ll talk about the things most business masterminds skip:
Pricing with integrity—and the eye-roll moment when someone suggests just writing to Mackenzie Scott
Growing without guilt—and how to scale without abandoning the clients who matter most
Managing complex client dynamics—boards, staff, and funders (oh my!)
Building a business that works for you, not just your clients
Throughout the day, you’ll have space to workshop your most pressing issue with structured feedback from peers who know the landscape inside and out. You’ll leave with clear, concrete recommendations—plus the confidence and clarity to act on them.
And yes—lunch and snacks are included. Because your brain deserves to be well-fed while you build your next chapter. Space is limited to 12.
Meet Your Co-Hosts:
Katalyst: Kamilah Martin
Kamilah is a visionary leader with over two decades navigating the nonprofit world, both as an executive and a consultant.
In 2020, with the world feeling turned upside down, she resigned from an organization whose lived values no longer aligned with hers, and bet on herself. She took a risk as the primary breadwinner for her family of four, and discovered more about her gifts and purpose in the process.
Kamilah is the creator of the award-winning Katalyst Nonprofit Consultant Mastermind Community, a global membership community that supports Black women and women of color nonprofit/NGO consultants & coaches during their independent consulting journey.
Confessions: Cindy Wagman and Jess Campbell
You know us from the Confessions with Jess & Cindy podcast, where we have real, unfiltered conversations about what it actually takes to build a successful consulting practice in the nonprofit sector. Now we're bringing that same energy and honesty to an intimate, in-person mastermind.
Together, we've:
Built multiple six-figure consulting practices
Navigated the evolution from solo consultants to business owners
Developed systems that allow us to scale without sacrificing impact
Created businesses that support our lives (not the other way around)
Learned how to price our services for profit while serving nonprofits
But most of all, we’re community builders and gatherers of great minds and can’t wait to share this day with you!

Day 2 FAQs
"I'm already successful - how do I know this will be worth my time?"
This isn't about basic business advice you can Google. This is about getting strategic insight from other successful consultants who understand the unique dynamics of nonprofit consulting. You'll workshop real challenges with peers who have skin in the game and understand what it takes to build a sustainable practice while serving nonprofits.
"What if I'm not comfortable sharing my business challenges?"
That's exactly why we keep this intimate and curated. Everyone in the room has been vetted to ensure they're running successful practices ($100k+ revenue) and understands the delicate balance of nonprofit consulting. Plus, our structured methodology ensures conversations stay strategic and solutions-focused.
"I've done masterminds before - how is this different?"
Unlike general business masterminds where you spend half your time explaining nonprofit sector dynamics, everyone here speaks your language. No more hearing "just raise your rates" or "fire all your small clients" from people who don't understand the sector. Plus, our proven process ensures you get concrete, actionable feedback - not just general advice.
"What's the time commitment?"
One focused day: May 21st, 9:30am - 3:30pm in downtown Toronto. You'll receive prep work about a week before to help you maximize our time together.
"Where exactly is it being held?"
The mastermind will be held in a private space in downtown Toronto. Exact location details will be provided upon registration. Lunch and refreshments are included.
"What if I need to cancel?"
Due to the intimate nature of this event and the curated participant list, tickets are non-refundable but are transferable to another qualified consultant (subject to approval to maintain the quality of the group).
"Will there be recordings?"
This is an in-person, tech-free zone designed for candid conversations. While you'll receive written recommendations and notes, we don't record the sessions to ensure everyone can speak freely.
